Abstract
Background and Purpose: Data from Provincial Health Office of Central Java shown maternal mortality rate was high that 619 for 100.000 live birth unreported and 111,16 for live birth. Maternity nursing care haven’t held yet as continuity especially in the education practice by nursing students (Continuity of Care). The objective developed clinical learning model of CoC for maternity nursing stase for Ners Proffesion Program Method:Research design was mixed method. Quantitative research with quasy experiment one group design to know quality of maternity nursing care by using CoC learning model. Qualitative research was phenomenology approach to explore the understanding of nursing students toward CoC learning model. Sample were 30 nursing students who devided two groups, 15 for intervention and 15 for control group. Instruments were assessment tool kits, evaluation form and interview guideline. Results: There was significant difference between intervention and control groups in evaluation, nursing care documentation with p value 0.000. CoC learning model shown positive clinical learning experience in the delivery nursing care based on maternity nursing philosophy. There was implication in the competition enhancement in the delivery maternity nursing care. CoC learning model can be developed by continuity and sustainable. Conclusion and recommendation: CoC learning model can be enhancement the nursing students understanding in the delivery maternity nursing care based on maternity nursing philosophy. As well as can improve quality of nursing care and documentation to improve the wellness of mother and child. These study can be continued to improve the wellness of pregnant women and fetus, child birth safety, and the wellness of mother and child
